Zipp has released their new Super-9 Carbon Clincher Disk Wheel. Most disk wheels up to this point have been of the tubular design, but I have a feeling a lot of triathletes will adopt this new wheel from Zipp because they prefer the convenience and familiarity of clinchers.
I met Dave from Zipp at Interbike 2012 and he kindly shared some information about this new wheel. While I didn’t get to ride it I can comment that the build quality of this new wheel feels top-notch.
