So this wasn’t the exact quote by Erasmus. What he really said was “The desire to write grows with writing”, but this reasoning could be applied across many disciplines. Scott Bourne of Photofocus said “The desire to photograph grows with taking more pictures” and I know the same thing applies to exercise.

There are days where I don’t feel like exercising, but when I skip one workout it’s easier to skip a second day, and the next, and the next. That’s why I tell people to just get started, even if it’s only for 10 minutes, because I secretly know you can’t always stop exercising after just 10 minutes. He, He…I tricked you.

Now go create that “desire to exercise” by getting off your butt and exercising.
